AFI Honors George Lucas: William Shatner Sings & Carrie Fisher Roasts
In 2005, the AFI gave George Lucas a lifetime achievement award (in spite of Jar Jar). The ceremony was opened with a musical number by William “Rocket Man” Shatner:
Then Carrie Fisher (if you don’t know who she is, Google it and know that I am disappointed in you) roasted George:
Some other people such as Mark Hamill, Tom Hanks, John Williams, Steven Spielberg, and Robert Duval said nice things about him… but they are kind of boring.
