Shatner “Performs” Elton John’s Rocket Man

I really planned on going to bed without writing a new post… but I can’t bring myself to do it, my last post just felt like a copout. Then I read Mark’s latest post over at JerseyStyle Photography and had inspiration!

Geek icon William Shatner had a music career for about five minutes. Keep in mind that I am using the word “music” in the sentence as loosely as you can possibly use the word.

Shatner’s interpretation of Elton John & Bernie Taupin’s Rocket Man (1972) is a must watch. Seriously, don’t just listen to it, the visuals are a riot too – this thing is so bad that it’s great!

I suggest watching it a few times. It actually gets funnier each time you view it.

… and for the record, I have no idea why I have two Elton John posts in two days. I strongly suspect that this will never happen again.
