I am so very close to finishing school, and (hopefully) finding a new job; so I should be back to a normal publishing schedule soon.
Here is a short one for you.
If you click this link, it will take you to Scream Hello’s music video for their new song, “Goodbye (New Brunswick) and Thanks for All the Broken Windshields.”
The lyrics are funny (extra funny if you have lived in New Brunswick, NJ). It is performed well, and the recording quality is excellent (as are all of Scream Hello’s recent recordings). I enjoyed this song much more than their last efforts “Gary” and “Gygax,” available on 7″ vinyl. In case you are wondering, yes, they did name the songs for Gary Gygax, the creator of Dungeons & Dragons.
In Scream Hello tradition, the video is a little smart, a little stupid, a little gross, pretty humorous, and of course guitarist Dan Kluxen is shit on (not literally, but close).
If you are interested, Scream Hello’s first video was for their musical tribute to the Gilmore Girls, and it is edited brilliantly:
I strongly recommend their album, Everything is Always Still Happening.
UPDATE
In the spirit of full disclosure, I should mention that I do know these guys personally (lead guitarist and vocalist James Caverly lived in my spare bedroom for about a month) and have on occasion played Magic the Gathering and drank beer with them – at the same time because we’re all hardcore like that.
