Every once in a while I get a little nostalgic for two things:
- Old video games
- The pre-Facebook, privacy invasion, Metallica lawsuit, and DRM days of computers… they weren’t that long ago
Back in the olden days, I used Windows 98, and then later, Windows XP.
I really wanted something to put on my desk that would remind me of that simpler time in my life. That’s when I found the “Blue Screen of Death” mousepad on Despair.com (those geniuses who brought demotivation posters into the world).
My new mousepad came in the mail the other day, and I am very excited.
It brings a smile to my face because
- I no longer use a PC, and haven’t seen this sucker on a machine I own in a few years
- It brings me back to that simpler time… but this time I don’t have to deal with the damn BSOD… Or high school
Now, I know at least one of you is thinking:
“David, what the hell do you need a mousepad for? That’s an optical mouse in your photo, and mousepads are like so 10 years ago.”
Well smart-ass, I have a glass surface on my desk, so I need one. Plus, I like having a mousepad; effortless glide is a beautiful thing.
You can get your very own BSOD mousepad at despair.com.
lol great idea. Despair.com -what an appropriate name lol
ooh it lookes nice on the glass! You are tempting me to switch from my long-time Planet Express mousepad
Very cool mousepad! Boy, does THAT bring back(unpleasant)memories!
Even if you didn’t have a glass desktop or an optical mouse, mousepads can still be great artwork for your work space.
