Isaiah Mustafa, the actor from the latest run of Old Spice commercials wants to star as Luke Cage in a movie adaptation of Heroes For Hire, and I hope they sign him.
The Old Spice commercials have been brilliant, in large part due to Mustafa’s delivery.
As a followup to the successful commercials, Old Spice has had Mustafa reply to Tweets in a long series of addicting YouTube shorts. My favorite is his public bid for the Luke Cage/ Power Man role:
I won’t cave and use Old Spice because of ads, but I have to give them a ton of credit for an entertaining campaign.
Personal hygiene products aside, Mustafa would make an awesome Luke Cage.
