Erik Lehnsherr, AKA Magneto was hands down the most compelling character in X-Men: First Class. I think the entire movie would have been better if he was the sole (anti) hero. I could watch that dude hunt Nazis and Swiss bankers all day.
Here’s my proposal.
HBO, AMC, or Showtime should produce, Magneto: Nazi Hunter.
The show will be X-Men continuity free, and follow Erik Lehnsherr as he wanders the 1960’s discovering the extent of his powers, hunting war criminals, and finding his place in a world that is just coming to realize and fear the existence of mutants.
It can’t be a basic cable series because they will neuter it.
With all of the different ways Magneto can kill people with his powers, we will never run out of “Nazi kills of the week.”
Each episode can feature a new villain, and recurring mutants can cycle in and out of the show, but the entire series will be tied together by larger season long narratives similar to Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
What do you think? Am I the only person who wants this?

Sounds good. I would watch that. Except I don’t have any of those premium channels, so I would watch it months later when it’s on Netflix.
I don’t have HBO or Showtime either.
I’d watch Magneto: Nazi Hunter every day. But Fassbender has to play him for the whole series. And he has to wear tight white t-shirts and make threats in 3-4 languages per episode.
What? You guys got January Jones. Let me have my Fassbender cheesecake. :)
I won’t argue with that dust. Plus, if dude in tight white t-shirts are what it takes to keep an interesting show on the air, I’m cool with it… It’s certainly working well for Mad Men.
